Want to find out more about the superyacht seasons? Look no further…

Summer Season

Often called ‘Med Season’.

In the summer months – April/May to October – many yachts charter through the idyllic Mediterranean waters. This mostly entails: Italy, South of France, Greece, Croatia, Spain.

Winter Season

During winter – typically November to February – many yachts migrate to the vibrant areas of the Caribbean and USA such as Antigua, St. Maarten, and Fort Lauderdale.

During these months, the weather is mild and the sea is calm, providing ideal conditions for memorable yachting.

Off-Season

Not all yachts will migrate to warmer climates for the season; some will remain in the area year-round for maintenance or shipyard periods. During this time, yachts typically do not host guests and often operate with a reduced crew.

Recruitment continues, but depending on the department, it may be slightly less intensive than just before the two major seasons.

Finding A Superyacht Job

During each of these two yachting seasons, the yachts are cruising with guests on board and are generally fully staffed. This means that the best time to look for a job will be just before the start of each of these seasons.

This is not to say that crew is not able to find work in other times of the year, it just means that the build-up to a yachting season is the busiest recruitment time.
