Recently we took a look at the yachts which appeared in Hollywood movies, so now it’s the turn of yachts on TV! Can you think of any more yachts which glided across your TV screens over the years?

Sunseeker Casino Royale on the Euromillions advert

This has got to be one of the greatest adverts ever made… Yachts on TV don’t get much more entertaining than this.

Lurssen Solandge on Channel 4’s ‘Million Pound Megayachts’

Burgess Yachts broker Rupert Nelson took to the Monaco Yacht Show to try to sell the 85m motor yacht- but struggled to find anyone to sail her away into the sunset. Moran Yacht & Ship eventually claimed this honour at the 2017 Palm Beach International Boat Show. Also appearing in Channel 4’s largely superficial insight into the yachting industry was Turkish-built superyacht Turquoise, and her ready-to-sell owner.

It’s Sunseeker again: ‘Britain’s Biggest Superyachts – Chasing Perfection’ hit our screens in 2016

The BBC gave us a fascinating preview of a charter onboard Sunseeker Yacht High Energy- chartering for £60,000 a week. The show went on to investigate the Poole-based shipyard’s growth in the sector and preparations for the building of a new 40m yacht. Bravo!

The Discovery Channel documentary series called ‘Superyachts’

In 2012 Discovery decided that the Dutch Yachting industry needed some small-screen love, and created a brilliant and informative series called ‘Superyachts’; which featured the likes of shipyards Vitters, Icon, Hakvoort and Balk; and also designers such as Vripack and

The elephant in the room – Bravo’s confidential docu-drama ‘Below Deck’

Love it or hate it, Below Deck has certainly got people talking. Their representation of yacht crew life is (mildly put) completely absurd, but they’ve managed to scrape together 4 seasons and a spin off titled ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ so something must be right somewhere…

The original yacht featured in this reality-bombshell was 50 meter (164 foot) yacht Cuor di Leone.

Turquoise appears again in ‘How’d you get so Rich?’

Katharine Ryan explores the world of the rich and famous on Channel 4, asking one simple question – ‘how’d you get so rich’?! Again it was 55m Turquoise which starred as part of the show, hosting a yacht party with Monaco millionaires Nicholas and Annabelle Frankl. Classic viewing here includes a clip of the Canadian comedian smashing a champagne glass all over the teak deck, Nicholas and Katharine doing some yachtspotting from Beausoleil, and a whole host of people wearing Monaco Yacht Show 2016 badges in Casino Square…

No clip was available, but you can see Turquoise feature in Episode 2 of How’d you get so rich on All4.

Not to be confused with Lurssen Superyacht ‘TV’- available for charter with Edmiston

Lurssen yacht’s TV was formerly known as Madsummer, and is one of the most popular charter boats on the market according to broker Edmiston. Aside from having one of the coolest sundeck swimming pools in the industry, you’ll be pleased to know that yacht TV has an ENORMOUS 70+ inch HD TV screen right there poolside. That means you can watch Below Deck until your heart is content whilst soaking in the bubble jets… #yachtgoals
