Maritime Safety Officer

Working with a Yacht Management company who are now looking to add more people to the team and are now seeking for a shorebased Compliance Manager to join the team. 

Responsibilities

• You will be an integral part of our Yacht Management department, acting as a Company DPA and CSO as well as ISM / ISPS auditor.
• You will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of your designated fleet of yachts.
• Changing manuals and keep up to date with new legislation
• Be open to travel at sometimes short notice

Qualifications

For the company are seeking the following: .

• Experience of working in the role of safety officer or have excellent knowledge of compliance
• Ideally sailed as officer on either yachts or cruise
• Hold a Chiefs ticket or higher or have shorebased experience
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to think laterally and provide creative solutions to complex issues

The company are seeking someone to hold either a green card or permit to work in the US.
