Yes, we all know she’s huge and most people have probably seen all of this before but REV Ocean has a true purpose in life.

REV Ocean is a not-for-profit company created with one overarching purpose and ambition: To make the ocean healthy againAny profit generated from their projects will be reinvested into their work for a healthier ocean. The company was established July 20th, 2017 and funded by Norwegian business-man Kjell Inge Røkke.

So, not just a huge toy, something with a purpose?

This is true. She may be the world’s largest Superyacht but was built with an environmental purpose in mind. With the TAG line “One healthy Ocean” the company’s goal is to focus on and help the Oceans recover from the negative impact of these three areas;

  • Plastic pollution
  • Climate change and ocean acidification
  • Over fishing and environmental impacts of fishing

You can learn more about how they plan to do this here, in the meantime we commend you for your efforts. We also look forward to an in depth interview with the REV Ocean team at some point in the near future.

In the meantime, here’s a video of here coming into Brattvag.
