On the 31st March 2024, the Gladiator crew began a voyage to the Mediterranean for a worthy cause.
What The Cause Is For
Voyaging across the Atlantic Ocean, the crew are driven by their commitment to support the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA).
Their mission is inspired by the story of deckhand Chris Sparkes, whose mother lost her battle with cancer 18 years ago. They are determined to honour her memory and make a positive impact in the fight against cancer. By doing this, the crew aim to raise awareness and funds to assist CANSA in its vital work of providing support and resources to those in need.
A Fitness Challenge
For every nautical mile, each member of the crew commits to completing one exercise repetition each!
The crew has set ambitious fundraising goals, aiming to cover a total distance of 4350 nautical miles while raising approximately $8,000 for CANSA.
