West Nautical is a full-service Superyacht company providing services, including sales, charter, yacht management, and crew recruitment. While the head office is located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK, they also have offices in international yachting hubs of Antibes, La Spezia, and Palma.
During the Covid 19 pandemic, they saw a huge increase in yacht sales. Additionally, an influx of new build projects are now under management, and the company’s growth has not stopped there.
New office locations
At the start of 2022, the UK head office expanded into two new office locations, the first for the yacht management team, accountants, and support staff. The second office, located in Newcastle’s affluent Jesmond area, which will host the sales marketing team, is to be a shopfront superyacht office. It’ll have a one-of-a-kind interior fit-out in collaboration with yacht interior designer John Vickers of Vickers Studio.
The Superyacht service company has employed several new staff, including a new Office Manager, an Accounts Assistant, Business Assistant, and a Vessel Manager, who are all UK based. The company has also expanded its operations in Italy, where a permanent project management team is based to oversee new build projects in La Spezia.
New build projects
As the sales market has peaked since the pandemic, owners and future yacht owners have looked at commissioning new build projects. The yacht management company is currently project managing five new build Sanlorenzo yachts. These include a 58m diesel-electric yacht, 56m and 52m steel yachts, and two 44m aluminium hulls. These yachts are due for delivery between 2023 and 2025.
West Nautical is delighted to be thriving, during what has been a historically difficult period. They will continue to grow and serve the global yachting industry, offering a full suite of owner’s services from the UK and beyond.
